HALF DAY TOUR BY THE CITY OF AVEIRO

Enjoy your visit to our country to know our culture

Visit the charming city of Aveiro, nicknamed '' Portuguese Venice '' due to the old palaces, canals and Moliceiro boats. This amazing city has several churches, winding streets and beautiful beaches, and still excellent shopping opportunities.
Make a minicruiter through the narrow canals in a traditional moliceiro boat decorated with paintings. Wonderfully handmade, in wood, with their characteristic bows bowed upwards, these boats resemble Venetian gondolas, but actually have humble local origins: they were originally used to harvest seaweed, one of the main export products of Aveiro in the past.
Then you will have free time to explore the city. Do not miss the famous local 'soft egg' sweets. These delicate shell-shaped delicacies are prepared only with egg yolks and sugar, and have a high reputation in the whole of Portugal. Finally, take a walk along the beaches of Costa Nova and admire the traditional houses of fishermen that line the coast. Painted with bright colors, with blue, red and green stripes, the houses offer perfect panoramic views of the ocean.
